Introducing you to a Spanish feast for the eyes, belly and soul! We travel around southern Andalucia, a region bursting with vivid colour, the sounds of Flamenco music and dance and exceptionally good food! We want you to dip your toes in the Mediterranean's glitzy Costa del Sol beaches and the remoter and unspoilt Atlantic coast ones too! Andlucia is everything you imagined Spain to be. We also give you the opportunity to connect to another world and step foot continent across from the southern most point of Europe; Africa! (this component is optional).
Living the Experience
Enjoy a delicious picnic amongst an olive grove and vineyard with an olive oil tasting experience, sip Sherry at a traditional Bodega in Jerez de la Frontera, indulge in some mouth watering Tapas tastings, tave a Flamenco dancing lesson with genuine Spanish Gypsies, learn to cook a real Spanish Paella with some typical starters and dessert, walk on a sand dune and a preserved Roman town on the wild and untamed southern Atlantic coast, spend a day in exotic Morocco and visit two countries and two continents!
Day 1: Costa Del Sol – (2 nights)
Arrival in Malaga – One private group transfer will be included from the airport to the hotel. Join your fellow travellers for a welcome drink and informal briefing at the hotel followed by dinner including delicious Spanish tasting platters “Raciones”, sampling an eclectic variety of southern Spain’s colourful and tasty cuisine. Dinner includes a glass of Sangria, local beer and after dinner liqueur.
Day 2: Costa Del Sol
A Day trip to on one of the most famous and beautiful Yacht Marinas in Europe, Puerto Banus, Spain’s playground for the rich and famous. Free time to visit the beautiful shops and try the tantalising waterfront restaurants, or spend time at its beautiful sandy beach on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. This evening, explore at leisure the old quarter of trendy Marbella, one of the highlight destinations on the Costa del Sol for drinks and dinner.
Day 3: Costa del Sol – Ronda – (1 night)
Today we drive to the gorgeous and charming mountain town of Ronda for an orientation walking tour. A gem in the heart of the Sierra of Malaga Province, once riddled with romanticised bandits, this traditional white-wash town with its impressive gorge and fabulous views, offers another glimpse into Spain’s fascinating, historical mosaic. View the old Moorish Quarter and visit the oldest bull ring in the world (now a museum). Enjoy lunch and the vibrant shopping scene at leisure this afternoon. Perhaps a traditional coffee and pastry while relaxing and admiring the stunning views from one of the lovely restaurant/café terraces over the valley and gorge. This evening, we stay in an old family-owned Hacienda amidst olive groves and vineyards in the beautiful Sierra de Ronda with dinner included.
Day 4: Ronda – Zahara de la Sierra – Seville (3 nights)
Stunning scenery awaits as we make our way through the heart of Andalucia, its truly magnificent mountains and traditional “Pueblos Blancos”. Our journey this morning takes us to the picturesque hill-top village of Zahara de la Sierra to an olive grove and producer for an informative visit, olive oil tasting, and picnic. We now continue our journey to one of the most beautiful cities in the world, wonderful Seville! Enjoy dinner together on the banks of the Guadalquivir River. The Guadalquivir River played a leading role in the discovery of the Americas!
Day 5: Seville
Enjoy a morning panoramic horse and carriage drive along with a walking tour of Seville, exploring the medieval Juderia”, Seville’s historic Jewish Quarter, the spectacular Seville Alcazar and incredible Seville Cathedral, the stunning Plaza de Espana, the Tobacco factory featured in the Opera Carmen, and its historic bull ring. This afternoon you will have some free time at leisure for lunch, shopping and visits to more of Seville’s beautiful historic buildings, museums, and art galleries. This evening, we learn how to dance Flamenco, the iconic, fiery and passionate dance defining the spirit of Andalucia and Spain, now awarded a UNESCO World Heritage designation for its cultural importance in the performing arts. We then enjoy a private performance by genuine Spanish Gypsies in their historic neighbourhood of Triana with a tapas menu
Day 6: Seville
This morning immerse yourself in an exciting, authentic and hands on cooking class of mouth-watering local recipes in a country home, typically called a Finca. Return to Seville later this afternoon and enjoy an evening at leisure, exploring more of Seville’s fantastic and eclectic dining and nightlife experiences.
Day 7: Seville - Jerez de la Frontera visit – Costa de la Luz (3 nights)
This morning, we make our way to the Sherry producing capital of the world and visit one of the most famous and historic Sherry Bodegas in the country for a private tasting with local cheeses and a very special local sweet treat going back hundreds of years. Next, you are in for another treat, when you visit the Spanish Arab Horse Stud Farm (Carthusian Lineage) in the outskirts of Jerez. Free time for a market visit and lunch before heading to the wonderful Atlantic Coast of Spain, the Costa de La Luz. This evening, settle into your wonderful beachfront hotel for the next 3 nights at leisure to soak up the vibrant and chilled beach scene of this spectacular coast and its fabulous culinary delights, abundant in ocean to table fresh fish and seafood amongst other delightful coastal dishes.
Day 8: Costa de la Luz – Day/Evening at leisure to enjoy your resort - Optional day trip Tour to Morocco.
Due to our proximity to the Strait of Gibraltar and the African Continent, you have the opportunity to take a day trip to the North African city of Tanger and experience the amazing medieval Kasbah (medieval walled city/fortress) of this ancient and exotic city, and its inner Souks (markets). The day will include a visit to Hercule's Cave at Cape Spartel and a typical Moroccan Tajine and Couscous lunch in a family home, accompanied by traditonal mint tea and dessert. Experience riding a camel and what it’s like to experience crossing the famous strait, separating the Atlantic from the Mediterranean, being able to see two continents and three countries in one day! (Africa/Europe, Spain, Morocco, and Gibraltar).
Day 9: Costa de la Luz – Day/Evening at leisure
A day entirely at leisure to relax by the sea and explore more Andalucian coastal towns and villages.
Day 10: Costa de la Luz - Malaga
This morning, we make our way to Malaga. Enjoy a Farewell lunch at one of its lovely beachfront restaurants with a select menu of Andalucian favourite dishes, including wine and beer, topped off by a delicious local dessert and speciality liqueurFree evening to pack and rest before heading back home.
Day 10: Malaga – Back home
After breakfast there will be one private group transfer provided to the Malaga airport
